Hello readers! Welcome to the newest series on this blog where we will cover the wonderful and exciting lands of New Zealand!

Similar to the journey to the Galapagos, this was quiet a long journey. We took one 6.5 hour flight, on top of a long 13 hour flight. Except we got stuck in a little bit of a situation when we landed in Auckland, our connecting flight was almost about to leave! We grabbed out suitcases and sprinted across the airport to catch our domestic flight! but before we could sprint to our gate we had to stop in immigration which took soooo long! We were sweating from running and were stressing out that we would miss our flight, and the second we made it through immigration we picked up our luggage like they were backpacks and ran as fast as we could. After sprinting with all our might we just made it to board our flight. Phew! It was a really close call. But after our final small flight, we finally made it to our destination, where we stepped out of the airport and were surrounded by massive mountains. In this post we will be discussing our first stop on this trip; Queenstown!

Right after we checked into our hotel and grabbed a quick lunch we jumped into our first adventure.(Quite literally!) Our first activity was bungee jumping at the very bridge where bungee jumping was first started, at Kawarau bridge. Here's my sister and I doing a tandem jump off Kawarau bridge! I was honestly sweating because of ho scared I was, and the instructor told us not to jump, but fall, which scared me so much more. I've never been that scared of heights except for this instance!

Here we are above the river! And because it was springtime the views from the bridge of the surrounding mountains and river were gorgeous, which took away some of the fear. Regardless my sister and I held onto each other for dear life!

After falling off a bridge we moved onto zip lining! We took a walk around downtown Queenstown and took a 10 minute gondola ride to the top of the mountain nearest to the town. Up there was a bar, a luge, some stores, and balconies that displayed the view of the entirety of Queenstown!

Look at how gorgeous it is!

While we were up there we spotted our zip lining spot but had to dodge a large group of mountain bikers who we constantly saw speeding down the rocky landscape of the mountain! It honestly scared me because some of the kids doing flips and dodging trees were at the same age I learned how to leisurely ride a regular bicycle. Regardless, the type of zip lining offered here allowed us to spin, lay on our backs, go backwards, and even let us ride the zip line upside down! Although the lines weren't completely high off the ground, they were locked on the sides of the mountains, so every time I jumped off to go onto one of the lines, it screwed me up every time I looked down.

Here's me laying down on one!

After jumping horizontall(And vertically) we took our adventure to the river! The Next day we rode the Shotover jets! Essentially around ten people hop onto these jets and the driver does a bunch of crazy tricks with the jet. They would spin us around, and then drive really close to the surrounding rocks before making a sharp turn and getting everyone wet! You could describe it as a roller coaster on water in a way.

Well, that's all or our jampacked adventure in Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world!

Thanks for reading todays post, and I'll see you in part 2!
