Welcome to my blog! Today we will be continuing our journey in Tanzania!

Today we woke up early to hopefully spot some big cats. Similar to how we found the lions very early on in our trip at Chem Chem, our guide had taken notice to a giraffe focused on something, and eventually running away from it. That's when we went to investigate and found a bunch of lions! Specifically, two lionesses and four cubs. These guys were just walking around enjoying their morning, so after some pictures and hanging out, we headed out.

A little later on, we spotted something brown in the tall grass, and it was a lion! It was walking somewhere, so we decided to follow it, and that's how we ended up finding it's two brothers!

One of my favorite pictures! This lioness walked up right next to our jeep so I was able to get a really good close up!

In total, this spot we came to had three lions and four lionesses. One of them was digging into a wildebeest carcass, and we ended up being so close you could even hear the crunching from the lion eating!
While we were observing this group, our guide actually told us that there is a high chance that the cubs we saw earlier in the morning were actually from this pack! But, the cubs needed to be seperated, because there is a chance that male lions will see the cubs as a threat to their leadership, and kill them. Only when the cubs are older can they come back.
Aside from this sad fact, the lions got really up close, so close I was told I had to back up a little bit from the edge of the car!
Mind you, this was all before 8:30 am, so we still had a long day of exploration ahead of us!

For the rest of the day, we mostly drove through the hills, and through an insane amount of wildebeest. It was truly amazing, every turn, there was more and more wildebeest. We managed to find a little corner next to a big tree where we ate, of course with a view of the wildebeest though!
The rest of our day was more wildebeest and fun drives through the land. Then, we headed back to camp to call it a day.
Thank you for reading today's post, and I'll see you in the next one!
