Today we will conclude our journey in the Galapagos with a final look at Bartalome island!
Galapagos Penguins

Upon arriving in Bartalome, not only were we greeted with gorgeous and crystal clear waters, we were welcomed by these adorable little penguins! Our first activity in Bartalome was snorkeling, and once we got into the water, I turned around and low and behold, there was a penguin right there! They were speedy little guys swimming around the tourists. They really loved the attention and didn't mind us being there. It was truly amazing seeing them up close, I have only seen them in textbooks and o the internet after all. Aside form swimming they didn't do much to be quite frank. All they did was lounge, swim, and sunbathe!
2. Climbing up Bartolome Island

Once we completed our snorkeling, we got dry and set off to our next spot. Once we arrived we were confronted with almost 400 sets of stairs that lead up to the top of Bartalome. Keep in mind, these stairs were very steep, and I was so scared I was going to clumsily fall all the way down! Not only were the stairs steep, but it was very, very hot, and being surrounded by acres of rock did not help. It didn't even matter if I lathered myself in sunscreen or not, but I returned to the boat looking roasted. Once we made it to the top, we were hit with a blast of wind. I was doing everything I could to try not to fall, and oh my that was hard. Upon reaching the top, we saw the jaw dropping view of all the lava fields and acres of untouched land. It was all absolutely gorgeous.
3. The Iguanas on Tortuga Bay

Once our journey in Bartalome was completed, we visited the local Tortuga bay where there was beautiful clear and blue water, wet sand that reflected the sky like a mirror and not to mention the iguanas scurrying around. These iguanas played in the water and lounged around in the sun while children played in the waves. The beach was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, it almost felt like a dream.
And that concludes our journey in the Galapagos! Stay tuned for our next stop, Costa Rica.
