Today we will be continuing our look into the Galapagos!

1.Juvenile Nazca Booby

While on the way to Bartolome, we passed by an island referred to as Bird island, for it houses three different types of the Booby. These three types are the nazca, blue-footed, and the red-footed booby. While going by, a large juvenile nazca booby settled itself on the boat, hitching a ride for the remaining hour of the trip. Becoming one of the other passengers in the boat! This massive bird was only a few feet away from everyone on the boat and it was a rare sight to see. This bird had gorgeous feathers and a colourful beak and not to mention the purest white feathers on its stomach, and we were all able to see it up close!

2. Crabs

These crabs are the like ones you see in cartoons, flaunting their bright red and orange colors. Their colors stood out on the black rocks where we found them most often. Like the sealions, they were everywhere! They were also seen pretty close to humans, I was able to get a good close up picture of them after all!

3.Lava Fields

Once we arrived at Bartolome, we saw the vast lava field, with every single inch being covered in thick dried lava. As we walked around on the rough terrain, we could see all the different layers of the lava and not only that, but we could see all the cracks within the ground. It was really hard to stay balanced on these fields, I was constantly tripping on chunks of lava and almost falling over! It was very uneven, and if you are ever planning on visiting one, be careful!
